deer hunting is right around the corner. here in wisconsin it starts saturday . just wondering what type of strategys you guys are planning on using this year in the woods. we have a lot of corn still standing here. what are you thoughts?

Hunt the inside corners of the corn fields, and the swamps and thickets close to the corn fields on sat and sunday. If you have not scored over the weekend, try still hunting the corn field if you get a windy day. Or you could opt for a drive of the corn field, deer will be running all over the place.

Good luck with the corn and swamps.
I will be in a couple different permenant stands on private land in Central WI. We are surrounded by a lot of public land and there is a couple groups that come push the deer on the public land. I have been luck the last couple years, but the family traditions are what I appreciate the most

hunting in shawano county on opening weekend and marinette county the rest of thr week...sitting all day opening day on a platform blind about 10ft off the ground on the edge of an alfalfa field overlooking a stream bed. after thanksgiving i usually take part in drives on mostly public land.
