Q:
I went for a walk in the woods today. Snow is almost gone. I watched three tom turkeys strutting around with each other but no fighting. The weather is off the charts up here. 59 degrees today. Anyone else had a chance to get out?

I have been busy with College Classes and working two jobs lately!!!
Its 6o here in indiana ive been outside almost everyday
A guy cutting firewood on my place called to say he saw about 20 turkeys. That's good.
Got a break in the snow storms and found some open water up the river. Caught three pretty brookies. Getting out did me a world of good. I can't wait for that window of time between open water on the whole stream and flooding from snow melt run off.
I went out today but didn't see much aside from doves... I didn't really care though, it was too nice for the lack of wildlife to bother me today.
Here in south Alabama, spring is starting to bust loose. Redbuds are just starting to bloom and the wild plum is in full bloom and violets are showing up here and there. The turkeys haven't gotten excited about it yet, though. Season started Monday and I've only had one gobbling---he had a harem with him and I couldn't get his attention. The wintering-over goldfinches are starting to get their summer plumage and they'll be leaving for northern breeding grounds shortly. It's a magnificent time of the year.
It got up to 67F today, the turkeys are just starting to break up there flocks. My brother found a nice size shed a couple days ago. I can't wait for gobbler season!
around seventy here and been getting as much fishing in as i can.
