It depends on the type of permit you have. Some permits are either sex, antlerless only or antlered only.

You need to check with your local game warden or department of natual resources. Laws vary from state to state. In michigan where i live you have to enter a lottery for state land or by a tag for private land in which u have to have a certain amount of land, sometimes these tags are limited.

It'll depend on what state you're in, what unit within that state you're hunting in, and what tag you have. Probably best to check your rules pamphlet.

Ga hunting regs from current season:

"12 per season statewide. No more than 10 may be antlerless and two may be antlered. One (1) of the two antlered deer must have at least 4 points, one inch or longer, on one side of the antlers."
