Just got back from Ohio, bowhunted deer for a week. Met with great hospitality (thanks) but did not find the buck i was after. Passed a couple i'd have shot at home though, which was fun. Anybody connect while i was away? Rut activity was leass than expected, anyone else seeing this?

It seems to me that we here in NE IN we are just in Pre Rut. I am seeing alot of little bucks just not the shooters that are on the camera. Have yet to see any does with the bucks though.
i connected but didnt find, as far as the rut it should kick into about full swing about Monday or Tuesday of next week
The deer are rutting hard in Northeast PA.
How's "buckhunter" !
I got a doe during M/L season and HAD to pass on two bucks(no shot) and let a lil guy (6pt) go too.
PRE RUT field and stream mag may have it the rut hunting plan on the head here in wisconsin. i expect this next cold front will have them going crazy on wed or thurs..
Just wait until mid-November.
O, buckhunter is doing well. He was a great host. He should change his name to BIGbuckhunter, as his trophy wall is quite impressive. His property is beautiful but it seems the deer were hung up in the standing corn which was abundant. I believe his gang did well on friday when i was hunting some public stuff. Great trip even though i didn't shoot. Shane, wish i was there this week instead of last.
