They are movin with the rut. You need to find their new bedding grounds. Should be closer to feeding grounds now. They are still around just a little different location as the season changes.

You may be spooking them as you walk in. find their bedding area and make sure you arn't any where near there. check wind and if you need to come in from a different way.

it can be a couple of reasons one they could have been pressured and know you are there its just like hunting a buck onece they figure out you have been in the area they will change thier patteren another thing deer have different patterens for different seasons thier summer time patteren want be the same as thier fall the reason is thier food source changes in the summer they might have had some green briars or honey suckles even somebodies garden when the weather changes so does the food after the first frost usally all the green brouse that they feed on all summer starts dieing out so they have to hunt for different food sources like acorns or green fields, fresh cut corn, winter peas so thier patteren will change but i have noticed unless deer are spooked and pressured they still tend to use some of thier same bedding areas (sometimes) they will just change the way they leave out for the evening and return in the morning this is where i would concentrate my efforts if you know where they are bedding (dont get to close) but scan around the area and you will most likely find where they are exiting and where they are headed to feed put a trail camera up and back out try to be scent free as possible remeber what ever you touch they can smell if you do this iam sure you can locate your doe's and most likely a buck tagging along well good luck.

I had similar problems even near a food source. I found that openening day the trails were all ambushed by hunters. I figured preseason as they were scouting and setting up blinds it was cutting off the deer coming into the feed source.

haha Welcome to my world... there patterns seemed to have changed twice since summer. from the fields to the forest to the pre-rut and next the pressured... Lastly the winter. Its all where the food and does are right now. bucks can go 5-10 miles overnight it seems during the rut so look for the regulars and some new comer bucks.

They're taking different trails. Either get more cameras or do some scouting yourself.

The other thing is this "food source" stuff. The food is seasonal, and the deer eat different proportions at different times. Where and when is something you can only tell from getting your feet on the ground and seeing it for yourself.
I was out for turkey and squirrel yesterday, and I kept a sharp lookout for mast. Deer, turkey, and squirrels all scratching for acorns, but not in exactly the same places, nor the same species of acorns. Some of those haven't fallen yet.
I do not hope understand it all, nor do I think it's that important, because in another two weeks, these acorns will be eaten, and something else will be on the menu.

make sure your treestand or blind is not right on the trail or two feet from it if you know what i mean. Sometimes it is a good idea to still hunt through the woods thats how i shot my eight pointer
