Q:
So today i went snowshoeing looking for shed horns. How do i go about finding them? Is there a secret to it? I followed the main runs and didnt find a thing. Should i take my dog along with me?

Deer cover tons of ground for food in the winter when their losing their antlers just be patient and keep walking around for them and you'll eventually find one. Really try to focus in on things that deer could get their antlers caught in or something that would tangle them up that's where Ive always had the best luck in finding them. Good Luck.

deer dont always run right on the trails so i like to get a few buddys and we all seperate a certain distance from each other dependig on how wide the treeline is and id say its a little early not that u cant find any at this time of the year but most deer arent done shedding by march

Try the main food sources and bedding areas and taking a dog definetly helps. I bring my 9 month old lab cuz she covers alot more ground than I can.
