Well Im back. the 8 point came by my stand but stayed in the really thick crap. like it was mocking me It was in range I could see it but I didnt have a shot.... but a flock of turkeys walked by as I was getting ready to climb down so I shot a nice Jake with 3 inch beard.

Well deer hunting turned into turkey hunting. Congrats.
Welcome to Buck hunting, how many times has a wise old buck hung up in the thick stuff and lived because "things did not seem right". Bucks have that Sixth Sense, somehow they just know when to hold up and agravate the hunter.
Maybe that turkey meat will tide you over until the big buck is in front of your stand. Congrats on the turkey. They're a tough to kill with a bow.

Sorry about the buck though. Maybe you need to move the stand or open some shooting lanes.
