Q:
Alex won his bet! I told this ten year old hunting freak if he passes his Hunter Safety Course I’ll take him Deer hunting in New Mexico or Colorado. Well’ that little stinker smoked the test and I’m on the hook for a New Mexico or Colorado hunt for 2010 and perhaps a New Mexico Spring Turkey hunt.

Good for him! Don't weasel on him, Gramps!
Heck yea, i wish i could have gone on a trip to colorado or new mexico when i passed my safety course. I made a hundred on it and didn't get to hunt out of Arkansas. But then again, colorado and new mexico are a little ways away from Arkansas. But i hope to be going to Kansas and Missouri with my grandpa for some turkey hunting.
Better start the lessons on shootin',Clay!
Congratulations Alex ... 2-thumbs-up!
congrats. to him and you now pony up pops

When this kid comes over he is either glued to the Hunting channels or in the reloading room sizing cases etc! Last season, he pulled off a beautiful 250 yard shot on a small 5 pointer and moments later dropped the doe it was chasing at 150. Alex with my 25-06 is deadly!
Nice Job!! Sounds like the bet that he won is good for both of ya since you both get to go...although I suppose it will cost you a little more.
I bet my wife wouldn't complain about my elk trips if I had a granson to take along. I guess I had better talk to the son about that.
right on clay cooper...some of my best memories are of elk hunting with my grandpa, the old curmudgeon...he was the best hunter and sportsman I ever knew...Im grateful for the time we had and for what he taught me...
Good for him and have a good trip.
Dang Clay-
That's remarkable ...sounds like he could give me a couple of pointers!
You must have done a great job of passing the baton to the next generation!
Got to keep it exciting!
I passed my hunter's safety class 22 years ago, when do I get my trip Clay? Just kidding. Tell him nice job and good luck on the hunt.
There's no better way to bond with a kid. Congrats to Alex.

I'll keep you posted on the Young Man. I do have several pictures of him on my profile page
It doesn't sound to me like you lost anything.....sounds more like a win - win.
