I like a perfectly symmetrical typical rack. But man I do love a crazy non-typical whitetail. Heck, I love whitetail racks!

As long as it is a big rack, who cares?

Actually, I was joking. Being a purist I always let the large non-typical buck walk away and wait for the huge typical one.

i agree with all of the above. I'm after a mature buck. I see the beauty and rarity in both symetrical(typical) and freakish, asymetrical(nontypical) racks. Both are something to behold to me as both represent a different and awesome facet of nature.

Non-Typical. I like to get a "one-of-a-kind" deer.

I have no idea why, but I love to see a non-typical deer with palmate antlers. I guess because there are no Alabama moose, any flattening or webbing of the antler really trips my trigger. Anyone got any suggestions on where would be the best place to kill a Bullwinkle deer?

I would like to shoot a deer with a nice typical rack. But it doesnt matter, if a monster comes up to me no matter what the rack looks like, it would hopefully be a dead one.

I'll take a smooth clean rack anyday of the week. I have enough with junk.

I like 'em all but I do have a sweet spot for a big typical rack. It is just hard to find one with lots of big symetrical points.

I like the non typical rack better because they are unique to that deer.

Happy - Are you serious? I just barely prefer a big typical, but I'd take a bigger non-typical any day.

That's a tuffy. I've never shot a non-typical, to be honest I can count the number of non-typical I've seen on one hand. If I had the opportunity though at a non-typical though I definitely wouldn't pass it up. Typical bucks are much more beautiful though in my opinion.

I like your idea about not being the typical cookie cutter type of deer, but I am always more than pleased with what I am offered. Hunting stories are great, but for some reason, they are that much better when there is something a little different about the deer.
