Deer decoys work great if they are used right. A good brand for the 2D picture ones is Montana Decoy... Great product and lightweight.

I'd stay clear of the 2D ones unless you just absolutely cannot afford a 3d. A friend told me a story of several deer on several occasions spooking and taking off when they circled the 2d and it "disappeared". He was bowhunting by the way. I've had some awesome experiences w/my deer decoys, and I truly believe they work. My buck deke is a delta, can't remember the brand of my doe, but I watched a buck lick her for over 2 minutes last season, he also bumped the buck deke w/his rack several times, all the while a BIG 9pointer stayed just outta bow range watching the little buck mess w/the fakes. This is just one of a dozen stories I could tell you about hunting over dekes. Post a ? if you get one, I've got some great pointers for ya

Yes they work great at times. NO you can NOT fool a mature buck with a 2D very often.

Go with a 3-d, but remember, they are bulky to carry in. It also depends on the type of hunting you will be doing. If you are just shooting lanes, then a fawn decoy may work, just to make the deer freeze enough to get the shot off, but if youare hunting a field, a big buck may be the ticket.

hi,doe decoys work great.i would recomend flambeau decoys, they are as close to the natural color of a deer as you can get.just make sure you wash them really good then hose them off outside.i use scent away body soap and then spray it all over with a scent killer , i then leave it outside so the material absorbs the natural air.i have shot a lot of bucks in pre-rut and the rut using the redi doe and the boss babe doe decoys from flambbeau not little bucks but wall hangers let the little bucks go and they will be bigger next year.those decoys are hard to find everyone is out of stock and its back ordered as of right now there are 3 left at www.keystone country store .com i just bought another and the great thing is you can buy an antler kit as well.thanks joe
