I have hunted rabbits with wrist rockets, dont know if that qualifies as a sling shot. I used the small ball bearings most sporting goods stores sell for a couple bucks a box or some of my left over 44 round balls. It's faily easy to sneak up on rabbit, I walked to within 3 feet of one sunday.

A few years back i got a grackel right in the chest when i was trying to scare it away. I didn't think i could hit it. If your looking for good slingshots the barnett clingshots have a sight and stabilizers. you can by them at cabelas.
