Q:
So, while cutting hay at 2200 last night I saw an all black yote. It was pretty cool, I have never seen an all black yote before and am told they are quite rare. Has anyone else seen a black yote?

Yeah i have seen one! The rancher was loosing a bunch of Calves to this big black yote. They thought he was a cross breed between a wolf and Coyote. It was huge because one of his ranch hands shot it! I wouldn't think a wolf would breed with Coyotes though!

domestic dogs and yotes sometimes breed down here, I don't know about wolves and yotes.

I read an article somewhere that yotes and wolves are breeding and causing a big problem. It might have been Alaska or Canada or something, but it was quite interesting cause it casuing larger yotes. I wish I could remember where I read it so I can post a link. I get bored at work and read some weird things.

Yeah I actually had a chance to shoot one last year... It was late December and I saw something black running about 75 yards away.. I started rasping my lips together and had him trot right under my stand.. I messed it all up though because I drew too early and he saw me and ran away.. Man it was something though.. lol
