i like to use one in deep snow over a fawn buried to chest in snow with ears DOWN.

Round here (Oklahoma and Texas panhandle) June-July is best for fawn in distress because all the little newborn fawns are runnin around and the coyotes know that very well, downside to that is that's when the coyotes have the worst coats

They really like January when they haven't heard a fawn bleat in nearly six months! Just kidding! It is best to use a fawn bleat when there are fawns running around for coyote lunch.
