I have had to eat raccoon when I was young out of neccessity, but I wouldn't want it other wise. Ground hog is good when they are on the young side.

I ate raccoon once, but have had no strong urge to repeat the event. It was edible and might have been better if it had been a young raccoon. I think I'd have to be awfully hungry to try eating fox.
I have never tasted a fox before but the tastes of a raccoons is a lot like bear to me...They are also similar to pork if I may add....Racoon is also not as greasy as far as eating Chinese Chicken Wings...It had been 30 years since I ate any raccoons lately!!!!
An old man I used to work for when I was in highschool made me some raccoon that was not half bad... but I have no desire to try the experiment on my own any time soon. And as for the fox... I would just as soon leave that alone.
I tend to stay away from animals known to carry rabies. Cook it very thoughly if you decide to eat it. Well done, no medium well or medium. This should kill anything that it could potentially be carrying. If it tastes bad, there is always hot sauce!
Raccoons are well known for being rabid, in some areas over 90% of them.
An internet article once stated not long ago that some restaurants in the upper mid-west served raccoon. Does anyone know one way or the other?

I'd say NO to the fox thing. Coon' not bad if done right.
No to fox, I don't eat dog.
Coon is good. Just make sure you remove the glands in the meat or it will be very strong tasting much like bear.
