I have a rabbit in my backyard that only comes out at night. How do I get the best of this little bugger?

boxtrap,snare,run the track at first light if you have a dog.if you dont make a new friend that does.

Try a snare and set it on a commonly used path.

Boxt trap the easiest and safest if you or your neighbor have pets that might get in a snare.

For a mere $1200 you can get a genIII night vision scope for mounting on your Archangel 10-22 conversion rail system. Then (after dressing entirely in black, with a balaclava) establish a backyard command post to observe the habits of the intruding rabbit. After collecting sufficient intel advance to a sniper position (while avoiding detection) and take the shot.
I like my rabbits stuffed with wild rice and morel mushrooms...
