Q:
so i squirrel hunt in and around my backyard all the time and its not a very big area at all and i have jumped a rabbit in the same general area twice. where i jumped him its not think he was just in one of the little patches of weeds that grow all over the place. theres a big pile of cut off limbs from a tree thats very think witch is where he always runs. any advice on how to hunt/trap him? (i can only use a 22 or pelat gun, cant use dogs, and i have a bodygrip trap) any advice would be helpful. merry christmas and good hunting

Twer I. and it was my backyard, I'd like to see him around more than trapping him. I'd be wanting him to make more, and not eliminate them from my backyard.
Don't do much gardening, huh, 'fu?

If you have a .22 you can feed one round at a time, (single shot), those little sub sonic .22 CB shorts do wonders for suburban "pest" control. Just be "very" sure of whats "downrange"! LOL!! They'll still take out windows and lightfixtures!
...and yes, a pellet rifle is a wonderful alternative for dealing with squirrels and rabbits. Even the .177 caliber is good for backyard safari's!
Good luck! Have fun! Be safe!
Oh, sure they will. My dad gave me a shotgun, and didn't allow me to use a .22 until much older. Said it even stated on a box of shells that .22 shells were dangerous up to a mile. And that is why I just shot a shotgun today, and stay out of the woods when big game guys, many that are no more responsible than many on the street that are allowed to walk around are out. And I do believe that there is more likelihood of a short range blast killing someone with a shotgun acting irresponsibly, but that is how I feel. That .22 short I had could shoot accurately...Had some wt to it, and held that small front sight right on.
put out some apples by his hideout. check the bait pile periodically during the day until you catch him feasting on you bait. take a body shot since it is easier to hit.
shoot straight! rabbits are good eatin!
wait till he comes out... shoot him.
