I have had good luck using a scouting camera to figure out the time frame they come around, OR nothing beats an old fashion trick: get live chicken, put chicken in wire holder, surround with hay...wait...the cluck cluck clucking seems to draw predators in...do not know if legal but got rid of my chicken thief!
we always take to foot with spot lights and we also use four wheelers we drive and spot light them but because of the thick woods we do alot of walking with spot lights and that way but when we can we use four wheelers and when we see one we take off after it
Sometimes you can get coons to come in to a predator call!! try a mouse squeker or bird distress call!!
I set out sardines near the shore before dark then sit and wait. Or some times we freeze blue gills from the summer.
Own cats. Feed them on the porch.
i like to start off with a coon squaller call. this will help get any of them dened up coons out and moveing. some times it really fires them up and youll hear them growling back. from there i like to use high pitched calls such as a mouse squeaker, distressed rodents, bird distress ect. also when ya get some snow you can get on coon tracks and follow them to find were hes dening up at and youll know just were to sit for a late evening spot. for calling i like to get out on the warmer of the winter nights thats when most coon will be moveing in serch of a meal because extreamly cold wether will sometimes keep them dened up.
Set fish by the water and sit for 10 min. and then go walk around the woods. Maybe find them walking around or getting out of the tree.
If you have a deer feeder just set and wait. Sardines or peanut butter work good to.
