Well, it's been a strange winter here in PA, but I'm planning to go out tomorrow mid-morning to see if can kick any rabbits up. We're supposed to get 1-2" of snow tonight and tomorrow and it's going to be cold in the 20s. They may be holed up, but whatever. I'm going out.

I don't think you need to be as picky about time of day as you might with larger game, particularly in the winter.

If it's cold out, after the sun is getting high say mid-late morning. Snow bunnies seem to like afternoons and early evening here. We stalk them with the bow mid afternoonish.

I like to hunt rabbits from mid morning till mid afternoon. This winter we could have hunted them all day because of the mild weather, however our rabbit population has been almost nothing the last couple years. You walk your legs off for nothing. I like to walk and kick them out myself, I don't have any dogs, the only dogs are the ones I walk on. I used to really like to hunt them with a skiff of snow on the ground.

Yep... did 3.5 hours Saturday morning from about 9:30-1pm. Partly sunny, 1" of snow melted by the time I was done, so no tracks, just some poop. More a nice "hike" with my shotgun. Not enough ice for ice fishing on the lake either... man oh man!

At least I explored some new spots. It was a good day.
