I agree with deerhunter... except I like driving around at sunup spotting foxes that are still out hunting. This is still fox mating season though and on a sunny day, you will see the males out moving all day. I just recently plinked a couple males that were sleeping on their girl friend's freshly dug mound. With snow, the new mounds and red fur are visible from about 2 miles or so. Calling for foxes is good all day as long as you can set up near heavy cover or well travelled fence rows.
