Definately a bow. When you use a bow, you have to get much closer to the deer and you learn much more about the deer in order to know where it will be. Harvesting a deer is a much more rerwarding experience because you put so much work into it.
I like rifles. I've seen too many people shoot and wound deer and other game with bows and shotguns. I know a lot of you bow hunters probably don't do this and are good shots but even the few deer that are wounded and get away make me feel bad for them.
You feel mare connected with the outdoors when you use a bow. Everything has to be done perfectally with bow hunting, and I absolutely love the challenge.
I prefer bow hunting. Clay, we get ten deer a year spread over bow, muzzle loader, and moder gun, rifle or shotgun. This season I will only carry my bow from mid September through January 1.
For me it would have to be with a bow. Not because if feels more rewarding, since I feel blessed to harvest an animal with weapon. But for the sole reason that the woods are a lot more peaceful during bow season, and the states I hunt in, the leaves are always at peak foilage and the rut is normally in full swing before rifle season come in makes it that more enjoyable to be in the woods.
I have not shot at a deer with any, only been hunting with others,(just watching) but have shot all of the firearms alot. I don't really like shotgun, rifle is the easiest to shoot, but BOW, now that is Fun. BOW ALL THE WAY!
Bow I love to bow hunt, you have to get the animal up close. Also the woods are alot less crowded with other hunters, but I wouldn't give-up my shotgun either, not allowed to use a rifle in the state I live in.
Rifle number 1; bow a close number 2. I like hunting deer from long distance and getting the benefit of the accuracy work. However, I like the wildlife I see while being stealthy and the rush of waiting to get the deer in CLOSE with the bow. I don't like hunting with slugs, they are so slow and inaccurate compared to a good rifle that I just don't enjoy them as much. If I want to play that game, I use a bow.

As much as I admire successful bow hunters I nearly always hunt deer with a rifle. Elk? bow and rifle, but totally different deal.

Deffinately bow. Even though I have not killed a deer with a bow, nothing beats the adrenaline. Rifle is much easier, but bow is more fun.

All of the above!Allowed 4 deer here, one for bow, one for muzzle loader, one for shotgun and one for rifle! Can I get a AMEN!
There are places for bow only and shotgun only and you will have only one day to hunt it. MAKE IT COUNT!
I prefer Bowhunting, but enjoy whatever is in season.

tradional recurve bow i find its funner and more satisfin than a rifle and shotgun
Bow - early bow season temperatures are much milder in Michigan than during rifle and muzzleloader seasons.
Shotgun though I am going to try and take one with a bow this fall in Wisconsin.
