The post I made on the message boards might help.
i used Whitetail Institute Secret Spot Food Plot very easy
The mineral attractants will work. If you want to plant a plot though canola or triticale would be great. Triticale will grow any where I think. I used the secret spot mix mentioned above and all that came up was rye grass and canola. Triticale is a cross between winter wheat and rye so it should be just as good.
Ragan and Massey Seed Company produces a mix they call "Shade Blend." They market thier Wildlife plot products inder the name Plot Spike.
Shade blend is a mixture of shade tolerant grasses, clover, plaintain and turnip. If you follow thier directs you will have great results. Deer love this mix!
