If you have to reach your bow arm (the one you hold the bow in) way above your head to draw the bow, it is too much. Or if it is just uncomfrtable. You should be able to draw it back while sitting down.
If you can pull it back you should be able to strengthen your arms both weight training and by shooting it. If that is you in the picture, there is still time to bulk up before season!
If you can pull it back comfortly than it's good.
I don't think it's too much.
hjohn429 is dead on, if you can pull it back sitting, then you're good to go. Keep pulling it back every day and it'll just get easier and easier. One more point, I'm not sure what the let-off is on your PSE, but the longer you can hold it back w/o getting the shakes, the better. Trust me, a good buck is freakish in their ability to take FOREVER to step out from behind a tree or branch once you've drawn.
As long as you can do it calmly and quit. you don't want to strain or grunt or even grimace.
if you can draw the bow smoth and easy with out strian of any kind and hold it for a few minets standing or nealing its fine .if not its to much but you can buy a work out tool to develope you arm and back musell to help you build up for shooting at bass pro shop web page best of luck this season
the let off is 65%...but thanks guys it should be perfect...and the draw length and i think its perfect becuase my left arm is slightly bent...and i can pull it sitting down without struggle so i think im fine
If you cant pull it back or you are really struggling to pull it back. Start of with the lightest your bow can go. As you get stronger and more use to the bow increase your draw weight. It lessens the chances of you hurting your self.
