1. In turkey season
2. Be set up before first light, and after roosting turkeys in a nearby tree the night before
Dawn just before sunlight, and be ready.
try to roost the turkeys the night before and get in position well before they fly down. as far as time of year either spring or fall are good. don't know if they have both seasons in your state.
1hr before civil light
1) Anytime you don't have to be at work.
2) If you're supposed to be at work, consider calling off sick.
3) Make sure it's turkey season.
All kidding aside, Spring gobbler season, at sunrise.
early morning and late afternoon
