Honestly I would have to say that they are both really nice. I do alot of online shopping and I shop at both stores. It all depends on what you want and do the research. I have found that sometimes even those two stores dont carry what I want or what I am willing to pay.
i would have to say cabelas because they have batter prices and have more stuff. bass pro tends to have way more fishing stuff than anything else it all depends on wat ur looking for
I have never visited a Bass Pro Shop but I do go to Cabela's. Honestly I probably buy most of my gear at Gander Mountain because there is one 10 minutes from my house.
they're both good. I shop basspro mostly because there's a store only 15 min. from my house. Both are pricey in my opinion so you gotta' shop the sales. Basspro's Redhead line ain't what it used to be either, bought a pair of turkey hunting boots last year, and they're already worn out.
Both have their "good/bad points" I've been to Bass Pro Shops in several states(5)and one Cabela's store.
I mostly shop other places because they are closer to me now.
I'm a Cabelas man. Great customer service, great incentive plan that goes with their visa card. Any time I've ever had an issue with anything they sell, they take back with no questions. Plus the stores are awesome- but hard to get out of the door for less than a hundred bucks, which usually isn't a bad thing.
I live near and have shopped at both. For many of the reasons matouse3 mentioned I tend to like Cabela's the best. Bass pro is more geared toward fishing and Cabelas to hunting. Cabela's hunting clothes are higher quality in some cases.
I LOVE THE BASS PRO. I HAVE KIDS AND THE ENJOY GOING TO IT. IT IS A KID FRIENDLY ENVIROMENT AND VERY REASONABLY PRICED.
I've never gone to cabelas but I live 20min away from basspro. they have a great store and a lot of hunting but more fishing . The archery part is very good and you can get a lot of help & tune up on your bow for free, having it strang , installments, and a lot more and the people are great. but I heard cabelas is a lot bigger and nicer.
Man it sounds like all of you are lucky do live close enough to either a Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop. I have never been to a Cabela's but I have been to Bass Pro once before. Then the nearest Bass Pro was 4 hours away in Springfield, MO. But now the nearest is 3 hours away in Tulsa, OK. I need to go to the one in Tulsa because I have family around there so it would be much easier. But since i am only a teenager i can't really just go and i cant spend a lot of money online. Anyway, i tend to lean towards Cabela's
I have never been to Cabelas! The bass pro in Springfield MO (my favorite state once again) is pretty cool like on a vacation. prices on some stuff pricey. I have heard there is a good bass pro outlet place in Chicago.
Around here we have Wal-Mart and Gander Mountain.
We have a Dicks Sporting Goods in Indy I went there once and they seemed expense to me
Bass pro is fine, but the Red Head line of hunting clothes are POS. Most I have bought don't fit or are second quality. Never buy clothes from them again. Cabela's hunting clothes are cut to correctly fit per size and sell some decent boots. Otherwise, a toss up.
Cabellas is far better in my opinion. They have the same stuff at way better prices.
I really like Cabela's. I shoot a lot of one particular bullet that they carry and the price is great. Unfortunately they have very little ammo right now.
cabelas i love that place
It depends on what I am looking for. Most of the time it's Bass pro
I like bass pro shops for there fishing gear and a few other items, but cabela's for hunting gear and apparel.
Honestly i have been to several Bass Pro Shops and Several Cabelas and Gander Mountains..
Bass Pro= More fishing and camping equipment
Gander Mountain = More camping equipment
Cabelas = Nice mixture of everything but a HUGE and much better hunting, rifle, bow section by far.. especially if you goto the Cabelas in Shoemakersville,PA its beautiful. lol like going into the gates of heaven lol HUNTER STYLE!!
Yesterday someone broke into my car and stole all of my gift cards out of my center console. I called two stores that my dear old mother had given me gift cards for Christmas, Cabela's and Bass Pro Shop I had shopped at both recently using the gift card and still had the receipts with the card balances showing. My hope was to cancel the stolen cards and get replacements with the receipt information. Ethan and later Thomas L of Cabela's immediately helped me get the replacement cards. Bass Pro Shop said regretfully they could not help me. So. momma, please only give me Cabela's cards. It is where I love to shop.
