Bees question kind of gotten me thinking about an idea. Bee mentioned that he was able to start friendships with other users that he meet on here. For you regular users know Bee always keep us inform on the stories.(Thanks Bee). What I was thinking about(not sure if anybody tried this before) if people want to post a answer on whereabouts they are from. Like the city they live in or the nearest bigger town. I think the users would like to meet other users on here if they knew if they were just down the road from them. Never know it might start up a life long friendship. If there is enough users in a pacticular area they could meet up and do things that would make the outdoors people look good like cleaning up the local park or bike trail etc. When the non-outdoors people see this(Peta) they might think, hey mabe there not that bad. Every little thing we do together like cleaning parks and bike trails cleaning its also a way to be able to bond with people who has the same love for the outdoors like you. What do ya all think about this?

Lancaster County in PA. I hunt, fish, and volunteer with the fire co. Also totally addicted to shooting my bow. As for dogs I have 2 labs.
Sounds like a good idea. Mt. Airy, NC. And no, Andy and Barney don't live here anymore. I hunt, fish, work and hunt.

Kenton, OH... I just sent out something a few days ago similar to what you described for people in Ohio... Curiously, very few replied... I know theres a lot of OH people on here. I used to be on another sight similar to this, OFN, an Ontario fishing websight, http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/, that you could send emails to other members by their user name. The email was was actually delivered through the websight to protect member info. Would be nice to see that here. Maybe someone with some computer savvy could look at the other sight to see how it works and send the suggestion to Bonnier.

one of the things that everybody found out here was that when it was time to b****h in this site about slob hunters or whatever, it was like preaching to the choir.
So a good chance you meet the better kind of hunter here and wouldnt mind taking a chance
What I wish is I could invite you to hunt at my 1000 acre preserve chockfull of turkeys and everything else, but alas....

Liberty Mo, 15 min. from KC. Love deer and turkey hunting. Fish for everything I can. Hardcore mushroom hunter. All my huntin buddies have either 'gone yuppie' or are gettin too old to leave the porch/beer and actually DO something. It's gotten so bad I'm taking my WIFE with me trout fishing for my birthday in March! Just kiddin, she LOVES fishin too!

Olathe, Kansas (KC 'burb) love to hunt, hunt , hunt fish a little now and then. So far I have met Beekeeper and Moishe. both are fine friends. Have hunted with Beekeeper and found him to be a great friend, very knowledgeable hunter and dang good wingshot. I also trade emails with Rudy, Big O, 2poppa, elmer, and others.

North Oakland County, Michigan. Active with a few organizations, especially a couple Ruffed Grouse Society chapters. We do habitat work at Lapeer State Game Area and another tbd. Stop by our RGS booths at Woods-N-Water, Michigan Fly Fishing Expo, Outdoorama, or one of our banquets.
CRM3006, The boot factory went under several years ago. That was a sad day. Folks used to come from out of state just to order boots there.
madison wi and i think kyle has a great idea sounds here and it would be really neat to pick up trash and do things like that
MLH when is the next banquet? or event your going to be at? I think there is a big event in lansing in FEB?? mostly archery?? I cant remeber

The R.J. Lytle chapter banquet is March 27 in Imlay City. Gun dog trial is April 10 at Farmland Pheasants in Brown City. The Lapeer State Game Area habitat cleanup is April 17 - you can see our new ASV Forestry machine operate. This thing is a beast at clearing tracts. Greater SE Michigan Chapter sporting clays fun shoot is June 5 at Hunter's Creek in Metamora.
Many committee members will be at Houghton Lake this weekend for the RGS regional workshop. Looking forward to what our regional and DNR biologists have to say. Can meet some great people and have fun while working on the chapter committees.
