There basically the same but i think i like cabelas better. BassPro seems like it is mostly fishing stuff and not much hunting stuff. I like them both though.

Depends on what I'm doing. I'm lucky to have both near me. I agree with Ethan that Cabelas is better "all around" and provides much more in the way of hunting. I have noticed that Cabela's house branded merchandise tends to be much higher quality than that for Bass Pro.

I personnally like Cabelas a little better, but will not turn a trip down to either. I am more into hunting than fishing and just like the selection at Cabelas a touch more.

MIDWAYUSA.COM!!

Cabelas is pretty good and more hunter oriented than Bass Pro. You know the name kinda gives it away on Bass Pro, they're about fishing but they have come along in the last few years. Also Academy Sports and Gander MTN are good stores.

Cabellas is my favorite by far. I have been to both and they are wonderfully beutiful stores, but Cabellas has better stuff at better prices.

i used them both along with gander MTN. hunting gear comes from cabelas mainly but my base layer in endura skin from Bass Pro. Bass pro is fishing with out exception. gander mtn is gunsmithing and need it ASAP. Gander MTN is an hour away. Bass Pro is 3 hrs away and Cabelas is 4 hours away.

6 of one, half dozen of the other. I like both. Depends on "who's" closer, at the time.

captain brad makes a good point the name's alone make it hard to compare the two and if I had to say though it'd be cabela's which contains lots of fishing stuff and hunting more hunting stuff to. I also found that Cabela's does have knowledgable staff.

Out of the two I would say Cabela's, but I buy most of my gear at Gander Mountain becuase there is one ten minutes from my house.

Cabela's prices have increased since the stock went public.

CCase in point: check out Bass Pro's new line of waterfowling jackets. Great product, fair price.
