You don't get any points for answering your own question It's in the rules. If you want to see cheating check out the guys with lots of double and triple posts. I saw one guy that posted an equipment review 5 times it's in his profile. He knows who he is no doubt.
Del is right, you don't get points for answering your own. However cheating is in the mind of the cheater, everybody knows when they are attempting to cheat.
I would not rank my own posts, you get points when other readers feel you made a useful point or answered someone's question in a way that helped them out.
Also, a quick note, I believe the rules say that F&S reviews your profile (what you have your points from and the usefulness of your posts and answers) when determining if they want you to do field tests. So ultimately, if getting gear is your reason for getting points, do it the real way because it does matter.
I also agree with HillbillyDeluxe. Sure people want to test gear but I come on here because it is a fun website. You get to see other peoples opinions.
Well, i guess people disagreed with my original posts, and after reading other posts i also do. I am 13 right now and dont think i could test gear anyway, i dont kow enough about any one thing really. So, right now i agree with Christian Emter on one point and disagree with him on another. First, i think people should just come here for fun, you can learn about what you love, but second, of course you will like your answer you wrote, and came up with it. Thanks for all the input.
If you dont likw rthw question why did you even come here just to say it was a boring question.
I would like to know the answer so you can jus tstay off thequestion and we wouldnt be forced to make you fall asleep.;

I think that it is all right if you are just starting off to get a couple extra points but after you get some points you should stop.
What do you think? Is cheating rally cheating?
Absolutely it is.
yep
Yes I do. Some people do it all the time. I only do it to answer a question about my question or to clarify something, then of course speak up.
thanks guys
it is all in perception!

no i dont because i use it to ask questions about what people answered me if i have a question about that
Del I didn't know it was in the rules but I'm glad it is, maybe that will prevent quad-triple posts.
i think you shouldnt you shouldnt be able to rank up your own post post. Thanks
i have mixed feelings about this.
I would not rank my own posts, you get points when other readers feel you made a useful point or answered someone's question in a way that helped them out.
Boosting your own posts is wrong in my opinion

Ranking up your own post is pretty childish, if you need points that bad just double and triple post the same thing like other decent people do.
Yes, i never do it.
