Blackdawgz is doing it for effect. His posts are insightful and highly useful. They're also downright easy to understand if you've ever lived somewhere with an accent similar to the one he's going for.

We have (have had?) some other posters who I'd classify as borderline illiterate. I sometimes ignore them, because their comments are much harder to make out.

eljeffe22; When you shoot from the hip you very rarely hit what your aiming at. From the single star I would venture you haven't been on this site long. Best case research your point and give a sound reason. Imagine all the stuff you wouldn't have eaten if your mom didn't say "try it you'll like it". P.S. Least you throw the first rock. Hillbillybonics is a conscience act. Lack of the use of capitals and run on sentences is just bad grammar

Pudge,

The dude makes way more sense than you. He also routinely answers detailed and difficult questions with solid, first-hand advice.

Let's put it this way. If I needed to know how to do something (that's the purpose of this forum, right?), I'd rather read his non-standard English than your non-standard English because:
his stuff is easier to read than yours.
he knows way more than you.

eljeffe22:
Capitalize the first letter of your sentences.
"Its" should have an apostrophe in your post above, as it's a contraction of "it is."
"Completely disregard and skip over" is redundant.
Don't has an apostrophe.
Sentences are ended with periods.

pudgexl29:
You mean "you're," as in "you are." See explanation of "its" above.
I'm assuming you know that cuz should be 'cause should really be because, but it's sort of amusing to see you deriding B.dawgz in the same sentence you're using "cuz."
Your phrase "the fact you have" would be more correct as "the fact that you have." Your best option would probably be to simply restate as "maybe you have 350,000 points [you forgot the comma in the six-figure number, as well, and should really give a unit] because you need a life."

Blackdawgz does post some darn good stuff. He comes from my part of the country and readin' him is like talkin' to one of my neighbors in my own livin' room. He is hard to argue with, I even had a stroke while arguing with him. But I like him and his posts. We are not all perfect and our spelling and english may not be proper. I never took a class on typying and make some horrendous tpyos but I still try to contribute to this site when I can with posts that are not disrespectful nor inaccurate. It will be your own loss to not read Blackdawgz posts.

Just to lighten the mood. Does anyone know how much "You might be a Redneck" has earned. Forget about the giggles and unity. By the way "Redneck" originate in Scotland [red scarves around the neck] battling the English Crown. Came to America and were instrumental in the American Revolution. So El Jefe [the boss] not as much an insult as you would think. Better to get off the site and retake the 8th grade.

Yes, blackdawgz is insightful and a wealth of knowledge. And I know for a fact that he is extremely literate and articulate (in a "normal" way). Too often I do skip over his posts because I really don't want to take the time to decipher them. And that is, I think, unfortunate because he has some really good stuff to impart. Everybody has their own trademark I guess. However, I like the real Blackdawgz much better than the trademark version. I'd rather focus on him and what he knows than be distracted with the hillbilly-ese.

Didn't some young cat with a funny looking hat make the same kind of remark a few weeks ago, although it wasn't specifically about Dawgz? That went over like the proverbial turd in a punch bowl too, didn't it? Come on guys; live, let live, and for goodness sakes - if you are going to criticize someone over their INTENDED misuse of the language, don't ACCIDENTALLY abuse the language while you do it. Especially if that person happens to be someone who has time and again proven to know what he is talking about.

I honestly think it takes some talent to consistently type with a jargon and he makes many great and colorful comments. There are plenty of people that cannot get their point across because they don't know how to write. I think blackdawgz makes sense, almost as though when you read it, it is coming strait from his mouth. (Which is what writers call voice.)

C Huber.

The term "Redneck" comes from the south.
The illiterate and uneducated spent their time with their heads down, chopping cotton and doing menial field work. The back of their necks stayed sunburned or "Red", so to call someone a "Redneck" was to say they were basically simple and uneducated.
Foxworthy describes "Redneck" as a "...glorious absence of sophistication...", which to me, is a better explaination.

Hey Bubba; I think it's probably used quite a bit. I got the definition above from the Smithsonian channel. My dad who worked the steel mills in Pittsburgh once told me it meant "Union Man". This was due to the coal mine strikes in the 1920's. Union men wore a red scarf. I guess for ID with picket line violence. I believe people take a derogatory term and make it their own. IE. Canuck [French speaking English man] now a hockey team. P.S. Why the -1 I'll fix that

Carl, I had a stroke last September. I do not think I will ever recover from the stroke but the progress that I have made still lets me work on and with fishing reels. I was casting a reel from the hospital bed at garbage cans for rehab. I was not allowed to leave the hospital until I could walk (with a cane) and talk again. I still fish and quite often. I can not do all the trick casting that I once did, but I can still hold my own against most of my peers.

But those issues were really major. I've been to hell and back recently which has significantly improved my perspective on my behaviour. Still, I have been rightly humiliated more than once and I take my medicine like the man I want to be. Right RES? Forty posts over a personal behaviour issue and no one got nasty as far as I can see. Blackdawgz seems to be a good enough guy. Apparently some of my friends are his friends and even though I've never met him, he lives in my neck of the woods. He's never said it, but he may be one of the few posters who "gets it" when I've posted about the enormous challenge of taking a Black Tail buck in the Southwest Washington forests. I checked out his website from the link on his profile page and have seen that he makes some beautiful duck and goose calls.

All that aside, I usually skip over what he writes because it costs me unnecessary mental energy to read what he apparently considers an acceptable English grammar and spelling.

Frankly, I don't get it. If it's a joke, well, you how enjoyable it is to hear the same joke over and over and over... Someone posted above that he "does it for effect". What effect? Riley Gipson writes the same way "for effect". The only effect it has on me is to produce a sigh; I recognize I have to choose, "Do I want to invest the energy to sort this out?" The typical choice is "no."

Some things that Blackdawz has written (that I have read) while being salty, indicate a technical knowledge and insight way beyond typical. So again, it causes me to question, "Why would one make it hard for others to connect with their knowledge?" Well, I'm not going to make any assumptions about why he does it. He does it. I don't read it. I doubt he cares -- but then, only he would know.

Raising day one parrots is a tough job because they have to be feed every couple of hours around the clock. from Teodoro wrote 1 year 1 week ago

Well you guys win haha I didn't mean for it to go this way. Turns out there are a lot of angry people here waiting for a fight(and to call names, I'm not a prick). Props to carney(and a few others) for saying what I meant in a more pleasing manner to everyone. Good luck and happy hunting and fishing.

I don't skip them, what really gets me going is when people post the same answer more than twice to get points, and they still have five stars. I suppose the stars don't really amount to anything because it's so easy to get them.

It has been brought up before that it bothers people, but he doesn't care. It is not worth arguing over. Just ignore his posts, it's all you can do.

this is prob the only post you will see from me. i have all the points i need to keep me warm at night on another account and im well aware of my grammatical errors. my point here is two part. 1 its ridiculous that something like this gets 40+ posts and a real hunting and fishing question goes virtually unnoticed and 2 why do we make ourselves look even dumber than people make us out to be on purpose. that is all, unbunch your panties everyone and blackdawgs keep posting you have some great info but you could do a lot more good talking in a manner pleasing to all
