I used to trap muskrats, mink and beaver in South Dakota during the 60's. While on Christmas vacation, I trapped hard and caught about 1,000 muskrats or so per week. That is how i paid for college. I didn't trap aggressively for mink but usually picked up a few each day in my muskrat line. I also ended up keeping about 300 mink to help with costs. I didn't trap coyotes much because they were more fun to hunt with a rifle.
I have not yet, but am planning to start this winter- mostly for coyotes... there are many and it is not prudent to shoot in the park I manage... looking forward to it!
"Are"(OUR) teachers, unfortunately, don't always give us facts, as most are liberal biased and against hunting, trapping and fishing. Lotta bad info being passed on to our kids by politically motivated teachers
