I know it says 1903 on the bottle, but don't know by who.

Joe Hoppe was the inventor. He also invented the dry fly pattern of almost the same name. :-)

I am going to guess that it was the same guy who developed Hoppe's No.8, but he didn't care for the smell:-)

that has lasted to this Day.
