Q:
Ha Ha Ha ha, whose the dummy now? Roll Tide Roll. BTW, these boxes in the Mercedes Super Dome are BAD!!!! I'm glad I know people who have money-LOL. An absolutely marvelous game, congrats to the coaches, team and the fans. Let there be no doubt that the SEC dominates college football. I have not seen Alabama play with such intensity in a long time.

Congrats to the Tide for putting an old fashion ass whooping on LSU. Good thing I don't make a living predicting the outcome of football games! My wife is a Bama fan and she's pretty happy. Now I owe another lunch to one of my Bama co-workers...

Alabama's defense was incredible. Made Jefferson look very Busch League. I personally thought the game was just OK. 5 field goals and an afterthought touchdown just lacked excitement. Congrats to the tide and their fans.

It was not the scoring fest that most of the bowls have been with little or no defense. Why some of the bowl scores looked like basketball scores! LSU's offense is mercurial at best.

One of the best games I've watched in a while and a happy outcome. Alabama played like the game should be played, though I've never seen LSU play such a lousy game.

Spent most off the time watching the game wondering if LSU had a bad offense or Alabama had a good defense. I thought the game was boring but I didn't have a dog in the fight.

I think the BCS folks already decided how Boise State matches up. They don't play anyone tough and didn't show that well against 6-6 AZ St. in their bowl. It won't matter since Boise State's offensive coordinator / coach is going to Alabama or Florida for the highest bidder for next season. Bet it's 'Bama....

Boise State would get ground into the turf by any one of several SEC defenses. LSU, Arkansas, or Auburn would chew 'em up. There is a reason they get no top love even undefeated!

I predict Arkansas and Georgia will be tough next year as well. The teams from the intermountain west and plains states aren't ready for SEC football. Texas A&M and Missouri are going to figure that out week after week in the grind, too.

3:55 pm. Eyes will once again focus but head still hurts. How about 'ol Kirby Smart fessin up that the defensive coordinator for the Saints showed he and Coach Saban how to stop the option. Guess what, it worked.
And Buckhunter, if you couldn't figure out that Alabama's defense (and offense, for that matter) were particularly sharp and LSU was flat as a pancake, then I just don't know. Everybody talking about what a boring game it was, heck it was just an old fashioned SEC defensive grind down. I'm surprised 21 points were scored, that alone tells me LSU was not ready to play. We shoulda beat them the first time, even though they played a much better game Nov. 5th.

i really didnt think that anyone could beat LSU, but bama proved me wrong....jefferson played like hell, and the LSU defense didnt come to play as well as i expected them to. bama had them pretty well figured out and executed, they deserved to win last night.

At the risk of being -1d to death I will admit to being one of those who believe that the SEC is over rated. The best way to find out who really is the best is to have teams of different confrences play each other on a regular basis. Didn't Boise State do a number on the same Georgia team that played for the SEC championship and that was drilled by LSU? Hasn't teams like Boise, and Utah done well against SEC teams? I believe that it wasn't until last year that the SEC finally came up with a winning record against the PAC-10. There is some really wrong with two teams from the same comfrence playing for the national championship. Let's have more out of confrence games with the SEC teams heading up north for a change. Alabama vs Boise state in November anyone?

Sounds like some sour grapes to me. Boise State has a fine program that will get no real respect until they play more than one or two top opponents every year. Maybe Obama will dictate a more egalitarian way to distribute football glory like everything else.

As for the SEC vs Pac 10 (Pac-12) football, all-time, head-to-head record (through the 2010 season; excluding Colorado and Utah) – here it is:

The SEC leads the Pac-10 63-40-5 (.606). However, over the past 13 years (1998 - 2010), the Pac-10 actually leads the SEC 12-10 (.545).

Most games are boring unless it has a basketball score like many of the bowls this year did or you have no dog in the fight! I loved every ass-kicking minute of it.

Roll Tide!

They could set up a playoff to championship like the NFL does, Then play till you are out; but then colleges, sponsors, and many other people would lose so much money from all the bowl games they get to play and that would just be a travesty. I would like to see that happen though. Then those with the best seasons get to advance, and play to see who the real top dogs are each year from across the nation.

And the offensive coordinator from Boise is going to the highest bidder because of his record, stands to match, top rated teams want him to make their team better.
