Bobcats are constantly on the move. There will range long distances searching for food. You may see a track one day and not again for a month or more. If you see one in the daytime you are indeed fortunate. They are one of natures truly stunning creatures as well as being a very powerful predator for its size. We have found many deer/bobcat confrontation sites and the cat is usually the winner. The largest one that I've ever seen was shot by a hound man and weighed at about the 54-55lb mark. I believe the Maine record weight is 63lb and was a trapped animal.

i know in arkansas where i manage hunting land I killed 6 last year all during the day. I know evertime i see them they are the edge of a field, over looking the field. I have also killed a couple of those in the wrp my property has. I have gotten my pics of them on my game camera too. I f you dont have a lot of time to spend scouting for them, a camera is a wonderful way to do it. They almost always stay hidden and early in the morning and right at sunset is when most of my hunters have seen them walking the woods lines and the roads that i have bushogged. you can always put out some meat or dead birds to try and attract them too. Hope this helps.
