Munley arrived at the shooting scene Thursday and began firing at Major Nidal Malik Hasan in the upper torso, stopping him even though she was shot in a thigh and a wrist...The 34-year-old officer reported to be recovering and in stable condition Friday.."Were just so grateful and thankful to the Lord that she's safe," Stepmother Wanda Barbour said. " Our hearts just ache for the loss of others and she is still upset about that". She happened to encounter the gunman. In an exchange of gunfire, she was wounded but managed to wound him four times," Lt. Gen. Bob Cone said."It was an amazing and aggressive performance by this police officer." We are very proud of this police officer and very grateful indeed for what she has done that day!!!

GOD BLESS HER BEAUTIFUL SOUL ! That's what I call "an army of one " !
from what we know of this guy, he should be humiliated to get knocked out by a woman. GOOD! wish there was some way to rub it in!
Sgt. Munley saved the lives of countless unarmed military people that would have been shot had she not intervened, and also the lives of those who had already been shot and were in need of immediate medical attention. Remember Columbine?
She is a model police officer who is deserving of the highest honor for valor that her organization can confer upon an individual. I hope the U.S. Army will have some token of recognition as well.
From what I've read, she conducted herself magnificently and deserves to be recognized for her courage and tenacity.
