Sarge, perhaps we should move a discussion concerning funding for the military to another forum, (backlash) but in a nutshell, reducing overall spending on our military doesn't necessarily equal a decline or reduction of strength or ability.
Yes indeed! Unfortunately, our pseudo-Commander-in-Chief has a souvenier of his front row spectator seat when Seal Team 6 took out Osama Bin Laden. It is a flag bearing the names of the whole team, thus putting all their lived in jeopardy any time that flag is displayed. These highly skilled and brave American warriors deserve better.
They are the best of the best. It is unfortunate that they can not receive the personal publicity that they so richly deserve but they understand the importance of discression. Perhaps our prayers for their ongoing service and safety will suffice.
There are a number of SEAL teams, not just SEAL team 6. Lets not forget them either, nor the other special forces teams, nor the rest of our armed forces.
Like I said in a previous thread about Osama bin Laden. The men on Seal Team 6 could take down Satan himself given the proper amount of training. True warriors.
Hoski if it hadn't been displayed how would we know of its existence? If discretion is the better form of valor then the Commander in Chief is sorely lacking in valor.
Lets just give those guys the credit they deserve. You know they train forever to be qualified to do this. They have to love to take down the bad guys and achieve the objective. Man I bet they could sort out alot of the worlds problems. Awesome awesome men!
Thar flag bearing the names of Seal Team Six should not be one of the president's "proudest possessions."
It should be the property of the White House and/or buried in a time capsule. JMO
Back in the day, post-Vietnam, the U.S. Army had a small force dedicated to sensitive ops like this most recent one. That was prior to the creation of Delta Force by Col. Beckwith, among others. Little known ops on the dark continent and down south stayed just that -- little known. Bravo to the men of Seal Team-6 and all the other operators around the globe.

Those guys are amazing. We're lucky to have them and other like them.
If Seal Team 6 answers the line when you dial 911, problem solved!
Sourdough, that was just plain silly.

How does one know that the men of Seal Team-6 even signed their real names? The Capon-in-Chief would never know the difference anyway! LOL
I see the Trotskite is fouling the air again.
