Q:
I have to do a consumers report project for my english class so i decided to do it on rifles. If I could get all of your opions on the Remington Model 700 XCR, Winchester Model 70, Savage Model 110, Weatherby Vangaurd, Ruger M77 Hawkeye, or any other rifles. Pros and cons would be great. Any information will be much appreciated.

I am not sure if this helps but, The Remington 700 XCR is my most favorite rifle (I do not own one but someday I probably will). I guess a pro would be the Trynte corrosion control system.
deadeye11,
I don't mean to be a jerk but it sounds like you want us to do your homework for you. Do you hunt at all? Do you read Am hunter or any gun mags? I never heard of you before now. Read, get some reloading manuals etc. I look forward to talking to you if your a serious hunter or shooter. Jim
It's okay with us if this is your first source. I like The Model 70 Winchester for three primary features: controlled feed, Mauser-type extractor and three-position safety. The most expensive custom rifles will have these features.
Big fan of the ruger Hawk eye, great accuracy and an even better feel im my hands. I also have remington 700's that are extremely relaible and accurate, however I preffer controlled feed actions.
Sorry you have not gotten more answers, deadeye. I think a consumers' report calls for comments from actual users of the product, so it would be nice if some other hunters out there would at least mention their preferences for you project. Good luck.
I prefer Remingtons in almost any caliber, for any kind of hunting, they are very eliable and have never failed me. ( I sometimes fail to fully use the rifle to its fullest accuracy BUT who has not?) If I had tons of money I would buy some of the Holland and Holland or Merkel Double Rifles For REALY big and dangerous game. Other than that I like my Rifles , Pistols and Shotguns to be American Made. ( D8mn few around these days ) D*mmit
reliable
