I've had a great time on this site. I feel like I actually know a whole lot of you people. Bound by a love of hunting and firearms, strange as it may sound, I consider you my friends and I will certainly miss my time here.
I'm so concerned for the direction that out country is taking that I'm going to devote the next year to nothing but working to get honest and decent people elected. I know that many of you don't appreciate the political comments in this answer section but I beg your patience this one time. Our country is at a cross road like no time that I can remember in my life time. We are bankrupt and still spending like drunken sailors. We reward the lazy and punish those who dare dream that hard and honest work will get you somewhere. We promote and award financial benefits to outlandish organizations like acorn but refuse to let our children salute the flag of this once great nation. We refuse to honor our long term allies but bow and genuflect to tin pot dictators. I'm only one person but I can't let any more of this stuff happen on my watch. I feel that I have to work in what ever way I can to correct even a small part and that is my intention.

Wish you all the luck! We need to have more good ole' american citizens like you to stand up for whats right for the average Joe. We need to stop spending money on countries that give a flying f#ck about us!!!! If our no good government stop wasting money on them, man the country would be back up and running in no time. Nope give them, our hard earned money so they can spend it on weapons to attack us. God bless you for taking the bull by the horns and doing something about it! If I could I would give a +100!!!

Every little you do helps. I work on the Hill in D.C. with a Congressman from Louisiana. Every phone call made, letter recieved, opinion voiced is taken down and recorded. Believe it or not, it does all make a difference and my boss at least represents the people that elected him with every vote he casts. My boss is a strong 2nd amendment supporter and defender of our country and I'm proud to work for him. I just wanted to offer you my support and tell you that I commend you for doing this at a time when our Nation is clearly at a crossroads.
Way to go Liberty. We should all do more to ensure that good people represent us in Washington. Like you I detest the direction in which this country is headed. I try to be active. I call and e'mail legislators and contribute often to an ever growing list of Conservative groups like the RNC, RNSC and NRA to name a few. I hope we can turn things around. I enjoy your posts and wish you good luck!

I wish you all the luck iam sure everybody does we need people like you helping people like us hard working Americans who have good down home roots and i can tell you are one of those people, you know we need somebody in washington who ACTUALLY BALANCES THIER ON CHECK BOOK!!!!!!!!!
Libertyfirst, as articulate and insightful as you are, you should have great sucess when you couple these qualities to your passion for the foundations of our great country. I hate and despise politics, but being involved is about the same as having to muck out the barn if you're going to have horses. We have to get down in the dirt if we expect the right things to grow. I wish you great success, for all our sakes.
Ditto the above. Our voices do matter and can make a difference. Our actions are even more meaningful. I think many people are shell-shocked with the direction this country took after the last election. Timing is now. I'm looking for some new leaders to emerge in this coming election. Glad to see you are going to be in the middle of it all. I wish you the best. Please keep us up to date with progress. But don't neglect your precious and revitalizing time in the woods.
