I would never give a plug nickel to that voodoo state in the first place. Obama is giving my money to them anyway.

This administration is the most arrogant in recent memory and they're worried about the 'image' the US flag portrays? I'm sure the Commander-in-Chief wouldn't have a problem with a picture of his 'HOPE' campaign poster hanging over OUR tax-dollar funded aid down in Haiti. If it was up to our great President, he'd probably have the US flag laid as the doormat to the aid tent, then again, how is that any different to what he's doing to the GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH here at home? Fly the flag with pride while you still can!

More of obummer's apology to the world and acquiescence to Hugo Chavez. I think our Commando in Cheese is ashamed of our military and the fact he is an American, if, in fact he is an American!

This is a case of doing the wrong thing for the "right" reason. The justification is protecting the image of America abroad, but this does nothing to improve our image and it makes us look weak. They should fly the flag proudly.

The flying of the flag debate is not new. Years ago (during OIF 1 ) about midway thru the tour we were tld to take the small flags off of the vehicles and we were to allowed to fly it at our combat outpost either and even last tour were not allowed. Excuse was and still is we are not a force of occupation...bs we are...I fully agree with WA Mtn on this

I have never seen this type of scum pretending to be leading this fine land. I want him gone so bad that I don't have the words to describe the feeling. Obama truly hates this country. He hates our military and he loathes us as Americans. How has it ever come to this?
We should be proudly flying the colors wherever we are. WE SHOULD BE PROUD OF WHO WE ARE!

during my tour we wore subdued flags on our shoulders not bad I believe in noise light litter discipline and lets face it if you saw pics of Vietnam with the OD's and the colored patches you'd see The colored patches stand out.

We were also given freindship pins with the Afghan flag on it to wear on our uniforms (in color) ... I truely didn't see the entire purpose of that.

We should be able to fly our nations colors on our installations in theater and we do.

86Ram-
Most of those Viet Nam pictures you see are either real early in the war, or in garrison. None of the A$$ in the Grass troops wore colored patches, a few wore subdued, and very few even wore rank, out away from the REMFs. FYI

crm3006 I could see that. Thanks for the clarfication.
Subdued is the way to go and I do remember seeing some subdued patches but not many. Colored patches just stuck out in my mind.

We learn alot as we go. As far as flags on a vehicle in theater they know what our vehicles look like with or without a flag on it.

In Haiti, like Bosnia and any other encampment that Servicemembers of our nation occupy for humanitarian aid / missions We should fly our Nations colors. That is agreed upon and the way we should conduct business.

We put an American Flag /colors (red white and blue) and the words Donated by the USA on food aid bags / humanitarian aid meals

AMEN! Also fly our colors high, and wear In Theater patches of our Flag, and let every SOB in the world know who we are and what we do, or leave, and let them recover on their own. Either way, I don't care, just DO NOT be ashamed of the USA or Old Glory in my presence!

We do fly the flags on our uniform subdued just like our unit insignia.

Garrison we fly our colors in living color. The reason is to remind us we're a nation at war.

It reminds me of our brothers and sisters in arms in harms way as well
