if it seems to good to be true, then it probably is. I've received that in the mail as well. From what I was told, it is a rare occasion if they send you something. I just kept the stickers

Hey did you guys get the "free" gift at sign up or not. Looks like a nice knife, even if it breaks after only a couple times, it was free. Or is that a joke too?

Calling it a scam may be a bit harsh. From what I have heard very few folks actually get gear to test. IMO, its a waste of money.

I don't think calling it a scam is too harsh. They lead you to believe you will get free stuff, which doesn't happen.

Anytime I see a NAHC sticker on the back of some nimrod's truck, I think "SUCKER!"

Well if a company can keep getting subscriptions on the hope of getting a Chinese made pocket knife to test and someone gets the jigglys waiting by the mail box for free stuff... sounds like a match made in heaven.

I was a member for 3 years and one time I got some anti-rust things to try in my tackle box. That was it. I did get the knife gift, which turned out to be pretty decent. I still use it. At the very least you get another monthly hunting magazine. But no, not a scam, just not as great as they would like you to believe.

LOL.. I am a life member and have been since 1998. The idea is a scam. They get you to join with the idea that you will be a "field tester" just like the rest of them F&S included. You paid dues, get a magazine every 2 months and then they get you to buy more & more junk along with sending you junk mail and offers. I have only field tested once in 15 years for North American Hunting Club. But I sure have bought my share of products from them. You want a magazine subscription that is fine. So useful articles, some just lame articles. You join with the thoughts of being a field tester, you are wasting your time.Like winning the lottery. You got to sell 2 million tickets to give away 1 million dollars. It's business.nothing more ,nothing less

Aw come on WAM you never been there? At the time I thought it was a great idea,lol...They just sent my youngest a letter. I looked right at him and firmly said,You don't see me field testing anything do ya?, absolutely not, throw it in the trash. Hey dad look at this card holder he says. Throw it in the trash, better yet put it in the fireplace. Gotta love the American Dream. Get rich, own a home & take everybody for granted. Stupidity is not always that far behind. Me included

I was a member for a few years when I was younger and more naive. Never got anything at all. Take the money you would spend on a subscription and buy a brick of 22 shells or a new turkey call, something you can enjoy.

Do not think I have ever seen where the NAHC has supported any hunting or conservation organizations. Its just another money scam.

NAHC definatley a scam!!! Been a member for about 7 years and still awaiting something that I could actually use, recieved a led lantern and gave it to my grand daughter for her Barby tent in her bedroom. Gave an honest review on it, they posted that it was great at great value ( false advertisement, the lantern was a cheap knock off of the one carried at Wally World for $10.00 and the club stated well worth the $25.00. Never seen anything evr again from NAHC, have asked for a refund of membership and just get ignored and pushed off!!! Can you say CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT??? Any lawyers out there?

I signed up to be a life member and I opted out by not paying and they sent me to collections for $345 for 14 months of non-pay. I got 6 magazines and now I owe them $345, that is unreasonable.

I actually paid this past summer for a year subscription. It was only $12 for the year, I figured it was a good price just for the magazines. I was also sent "The Silent Retriever" to test. Even so I do not think I will be renewing next year.

I have been a lifetime member for at least 15 yr. I only tested one thing and it was probably worth $3 and something I would never use, as far as I am concerned it is a total rip-off...They just want your money and then they forget about you...
