Fishing for resident rainbows, steelhead and salmon in Alaska. And hunting elk (buckwoods, you just reminded me I always wanted to give elk hunting a go) in any state that'll have me.
Last year I was fortunate enough to spend mid-April through mid-Oct at my new place in SE Ak. I'm heading back up this year for a repeat. I'd love to get to do at least one 12+month run. Fishing everyday, with Glock and my fly rod, is a blast. Who knows what is going to emerge from the ocean and run upstream today? The week I left last Oct I landed 24 silvers and lost a ton of fish on 3 trips. I left knowing that the silvers were still availible and that steelhead were lurking. Steelhead are there and I'm not.
PigHunter: That last two were were nice. Some day for me, maybe, still kinda young to think bout that stuff yet. And dleurquin, I would mind hunting elk anywhere, kinda want to do it where not many get too. (and dleurquin, what on earth does that name mean)
Bugling elk with a bow would be number 1. I have hunted elk several times, just not when they are bugling or with a bow. I am going on a bonefishing trip in the Bahamas this summer while on my honeymoon. I would say that and a tarpon would also be pretty close to the top of my list.
Elk, pronghorn, kudu, cape buffalo, a harlequin duck and anything that requires a trip to Alaska. And one of these years I am going to kill a daggum turkey, too.
Pig Hunter- I've suba dived in the Carribean, Grenada, to be exact. It is the best kept secret and the prices are very reasonable.
1.) Hunt Alaska
2.) Hunt Red Stag In New Zealand.
3.) Hunt Africa
4.) Sky dive out of an airplane.
I forgot one.
When I was younger a couple of my buddies and me would hop trains and ride them for some distance, then jump off before they picked up speed. One evening six of my buddies were supposed to camp out all night and hop trains. My parents "made" me go to the store with them and I couldn't help set-up camp.
When I got back, the camp was set-up but my friends were no where to be found. This was in 1967. Later that night, all of the parents called my house wondering where their boys were! It turns out, they had jumped into a boxcar and was afraid to jump back out and the train kept going ... all the way to Birmingham, Alabama; 470 miles away from Northern Kentucky.
I would like to hop one and ride it across America with a friend. Kind of like Hobo'ing it!
id like to shoot everything my dad has, and thats a huge list...also in addition to that, a trip to argentina to shoot doves and pigeons for a few days would be an absolute blast, and a pheasant hunting trip to south dakota.
64 and bought my first Harley. This could end up being the last thing on my bucket list. (my wife thinks so). I used to hop trains in the early 60's but they always slowed down enough at crossings to jump off!
Shoot a huge whitetail buck with my bow(not score huge, just "WOW" huge.)
Take a large bull Elk with my bow.
Catch and release a 50 lb. Striper.
Watch my kids (and maybe my wife) take their first deer.
Watch my kids grow and get married.
I would like to kill a big dark heavy horned whitetail. I don't care what it scores I just want it to look pretty. I want to make a few more trips west to the pararie dogs fields of Montana and a couple more trips to Alabama to deer hunt with my friends. I wouldn't mind hunting the big stags of New Zeland too along with the buffs of Africa. I'm dreaming because I know that most of this won't happen but I can still dream that is what keeps an old man like me going.

buckwoods, first initial, last name. It's belgian and I have no idea what it means. Not a very creative username either.

First thing: Water or Cape buffalo hunting in Africa. Ain't afraid of the shots.
Bowhunt for an elk and a black bear!

I'd like to do a lot of that exotic stuff, but as long as I can make the next spring gobbling season, I'll be fine.
Been there and done everything I could have asked for already. Only thing left on my list is to see my wife and son again.
I just wanna fish with my boys when it's warm and hopefully someday take a whitetail deer with each of 'em when it's cold.
Good story 2Poppa.

Make it to 80! (As long as I am healthy that is.)
