Q:
This one's for 007.
I noticed on your profile that you had killed a buck with a 788 Remington in 308. Congrats on the buck, but I have one question. Do the magazines on your 788 seem really poorly made or not? The ones for our 788 in 223 seem like they are going to fall apart any moment. Just wondering. Thanks.

I had the same gun and probably traded it a lot cheaper than I should have for that same reason. (308 not 223) The gun shot great and killed deer but it just looked ugly. vanity I guess.
I traded a old rusted out jeep for my 788 Remington in .308. I am looking for clipps for it. Thi was my 2nd year with the gun. I replaced my 6.5x55.
CPT BRAD I bought my 788 used for $250 and you would'nt belive what I've been offered for it. You are right they are ugly I pulled mine apart and spent last winter refinishing the stock looks much better now, and have not had a problem with the clip I heard Brownells has some.
