Signs of the rut are starting up here too. good luck takeing one of those mulies.
Haven't seen the pre-rut activity yet here in NJ. Any day i think
A little "chasing" going on here in Ark. no "real" sign yet though !
Well her in Indiana, I have already seen dozens of rubs (some of which are on 8-10" diameter trees)and a few scrapes. I have also noticed bucks starting to follow doe trails and sniff at them. However, I have already tagged this years buck (a real nice 8-pointer who dressed at 205)so I can't shoot any more bucks. I still do a lot of scouting and am already working on patterning next years buck. I guess this will give me something to do besides hunt the does (and coyotes and squirrels.......) Good luck and good huntin' to all!
It looks like your rut is parallel to Ohio. I've seen some scrapes, rubs and a little chasing.
