Alcoluhuntin and Muleynut I share that same first deer experience as my favorite.

Now 40 states left, this is cool.

For tbogg-a turkey grand slam is when you get a eastern tom, rio grande tom, merriams tom,and a oscieolos turkey (found in florida). Basically getting a tom from the four different U.S. turkey species.

Deblack, your nswer is interesting but understood, I found some beds once and I was very proud of myself. Thanks for the answers.

I'll give you one from South Dakota where I grew up and spent the first half of my life. I know it sounds far fetched but I actually survived getting attacked by a very big 10 point buck and was able to suffocate him after a 20 minute battle so that he didn't succeed in killing me. Thank Heaven I was young and tough or I would not have survived. He was one of the biggest in our camp that year and he was the only one that did't have an arrow or bullet hole in him.
