I used to paint miniatures and draw a lot; still do some photography. I was into tropical fish for several years, cichlids and armored catfish mostly.
I collect broken junk with the idea of fixing it, but I find I'm usually satisfied by figuring out how it works while taking it apart and cleaning it, so most of it goes to the local recycling center after my wife asks me what I'm going to do with it three or four times.
I've been working on genealogy research off and on.
Gardening, a bit of photography, ongoing renovations on and around our house, try to stay involved with church and Ruritan work, trying to get back into reading, I dabble in writing, and LOTS of fishing.
Hiking, Photography, Reading, Blogging(Here Mostly), Reloading, Skeet Shooting ,( Watching classic movies , Listen to music, with a certain lady) Traveling with the same lady, buying, selling and trading guns and cameras and cars. Much more.
Photography, since it permits me to capture some of the memories from everything that I enjoy. Scuba diving, dirtbiking on local trails, flatwater kayaking on lakes and rivers not far from my home. I set time aside for reading almost every night, and I reload as regularly as time and budget (and availability) permit.
sad to say I dont have many other hobbies. I can play the trumpet but thats about it. I focus my time and energy on hunting....and school im 8th in my class, and have a 3.92 grade point average.
Deerslayer,
I'd say your priorities are entirely in order. Great work! We have a multitalented group of men and women on this forum. That's one of the reasons I enjoy reading the opinions that are posted.
