The Mountain Men is a classic.
Old Man and the Sea, 1958 and 1990!!!
Not very realistic but Ghost in the Darkness. jeramiah johnson.
Rudyglove stole my thunder on the fishing movie. Actually, the movie The Ghost and the Darkness followed the written account of the killing of the two maneaters quite closely. The scene where the lions were making ripples through the tall grass sent shivers down my spine.
Ghost and the Darkness was really good. I also like A River Runs Through It.
or escanaba in da moonlight!!a little corny but entertaining.
ya man that there escanba be a funny show eh!
as well as Jermiah Johnson
or the biography of that old dude who lives in Alaska, build his own house and everything "Alone in the Wilderness???"
Dick something ussually on PBS !
Ghost & darkness is good but my favorite is "Out of Africa" with Robert Redford as White hunter Denis Finch-Hatton. The movie follows the book very closely.
Not as much hunting as scenery, but I always liked John Wayne's "Hatari". Non-lethal hunting.
"Ghost in the Darkness" is an amazing movie.
I don't know why I didn't think of it right away, but the best fishing movie of all time has to be "Jaws".
Im surprised no one else has said it, but A River Runs Threw It is one of my all time fav movies.
