I shot the basic .22 Marlin bolt action rifle.
My first shot came out of .410.
First real gun I've ever shot was a .22 rifle with open sights
By the way the .410 was bolt action.

Ruger 10/22
It may have been a .410 but the very first in my memory was my dads .243. I was very small when I was 8(when I shot it) and very light. The gun kicked, gave me a black eye, and threw me off the bench. OUCH!!!

Belgin made Browning .22 semi-auto.
Took my "first" animal with that rifle !(squirrel).
My first was a .22 Hornet
A Sears (Marlin) .22 lever action - must have been 5 or 6 years old. It's my mom's gun, but I keep it at my house.
Franchi AL-48 20 gauge.
My Grandads Parker
The first gun I ever used was a 16 gauge double barrel that my uncle thought would be enough for a 8 year old who had never fired a gun in his life. It knocked me on my but harder than enything I can remember. Of course now that I know how to use it I dont even feel the recoil when I am in full gear.
S&W 59 9mm--the old man let me shoot it while on a camping trip
An H&R 9-shot .22 revolver. My first "own" gun was a 20-ga. single-shot shotgun. I can't even remember the brand.
