The grass is always greener and the game always bigger and more diverse in another state.

I live in Kansas and hunt here and MO. Also lived in AK 3.5 yr and while the hunting here is very good no state compares to AK for size and variety of big game. Where else can you hunt Alaska-Yukon Moose, Brown, Grizzly, and Black bears, Muskox, Caribou, Elk, Buffalo, Blacktailed Deer and Dall's Sheep

That's easy ALASKA. You can go out your back door hunt and fish. Buy a license and stamp and get lost out in the wilderness. It is untamed. Lived there from 2004-2007.

Never hunted outside of Michigan, lots of game, deer herd needs work. Our doe to buck ratio is horrible. We also have bear, elk, bobcat, pheasant, quail, grouse, squirrel(fox & grey/black), turkey, fox, coyote, rabbit(cottontail & snowshoe), and pretty much every freshwater gamefish in the states. Plus if you trap, we have beaver, otter, mink, and muskrat.

AK is the first choice if you count all 50 states. if you limit the choice to the lower 48, you'd be hard pressed to beat Montana. tons of big game, good waterfowl, good upland game, turkeys, and lots of predators and prairie dogs.

Kansas or Alaska, Alaska has everything from bear to deer to moose and its the biggest state which is mostly covered by tundras and woods. Kansas is probably the best state for whitetails and it has some mule deer since its near Colorado it also has pheasant hunting, but if you don't have a lot of money just come to ohio
