carcher,

If you are worried about testing gear you are in for a long haul. I hope after awhile you will understand the knowledge you recieve on here is priceless. Along the way you get friendship and knowledge and too most of us thats why we are on here. If you do happen to get selected for gear testing be honest. Say if you were honored to test a fly fishing rod and never fly fished before you can not give an honest answer to that can you? So decilne and wait till you can give a honest opinion. Long story short if you are here thinking you get to test gear for free you have a long line to stand in. So if you want to learn more about hunting and fishing you came to the right site, but if you just want to get free gear, I will save you the trouble, start looking for a different site.

With all respect,

kyle

Kyle gave good advice. It is now going on 3 years since my first hit on this website. Yes I have tested 4 very nice tents. The article was in last years July issue. Not holding my breath for another chance though. It is for the educational benefits and chatting with like minded sportsmen that I continue to use this site.

Thanks for the honest insight guys. I must admit I was kind of wondering the same question. But you put it in a good perspective.

I had a hunting camp photo in an issue last fall, and a my name and story graces about 12 pages of the current issue...but have yet to get any gear to test??? I did however get a nice baseball cap for the hunting camp photo...so don't get your hopes up about gear testing...just enjoy the site for what it is....
