Beekeeper, Whare have you been? Shot show? While you have been having fun Dan shot a buck WED evening with his bow from my blind stand. The buck had shed his antlers andd Dan thought he was a doe. After the shot he ran onto neighbors property and dird in a small pond. Dan called me to help get him out. Bright and early yesterday morning we drove up to this white mansion, knocked on the door and asked the maid if we could retrieve Dan's deer. She said the owner was still asleep in bed and to go ahead and get the deer. The maid came out and took a pic as we loaded my truck with Dan's venison and headed home. That buck went right to water and jumped into a pool of snowmelt water on the upper end of the sill ice covered pond. He was well preserved and stiff as a board in that very cold water. BTW Dan used a 55 lb Mathes bow and brand X mechanical broadheads for the 25 yd shot. If he had used Rage 2 blade I am confident the buck never would have made it off the property we have permission to hunt on. Another BTW We think a matching pair of sheds I foud close by came from this buck. They are not large in case you wondered.
