Q:
does anyone know of any of those 100 dollar trail cams are they worth the money if I just want to put 'em out for about a weekend or less at a time no long periods of time. Which one would be best?

I have a Moultry 5.0. It cost me 75 dollars and it works great if set up in the right spot. I set mine up on scrapes and I get great pictures and the flash doesn't seem to bug them. However, in a area that deer are just passing through you will need a fast trigger speed which means more money.
I like the ir flash cameras, they're less likely too spook old wise bucks. I bought 2 remington Ghost for 59 each at Academy sports, they work great, there not the best but good enuff. I point the cameras up and down trails so I dont worry about trigger speed. I have Bushnell ir cameras and they cost much more than the Ghost but do not take any better picture. Find some game trails with scrapes or some rubs, set your camera or cameras at these areas for some great pics.
i've used some of those cameras and they work fine. i like to use the more expensive ones like $120. the stealth cam rogue i think it is, has an infra red flash and has 5 or 6 megapixles, great picure quality. check it out on their web site.
A lot of times the Wildview Infrared Extreme goes on sale for $100 and it is as good of a camera as you need.
I got the Wildgame Innovations IR4 on Sportsmans Guide for $80. It was taking pictures from 20-30 feet away. In a 2 week period it had 400+ pics and batteries needed replaced. The only thing that I don't like is when the batteries get low the date and time line gets fuzzy and unreadable. Overall a good cheap camera. Great range and pics. Good Luck
get a moultry 2.0 the flash cameras are better because the infared light scares the deer and get industrial batteries they last longer
i have a remington camera it was $100 works great i set it up a few places in 1 week with some apples and had deer in 2 nights there. bucks i never new existed. tells temp time and date.
