Q:
Have any of you reloaders tried Barnes 210 grain TTSX tipped bullets in 338 caliber? I bought a box and can't wait to get to the range with that 338-06 and some of these loads. Man that is one aerodynamic bullet. The ballistic coefficient is well over 400. Got any pet loads or powder reccommendations? Act fast the F&S TSA-like police might delete this question.

210 GR. NOS PART
Winchester 760
Min: 57.0 2621 52,500 PSI
Max: 61.0 2747 59,700 PSI
Use Federal 210 or Winchester Large Rifle Primer.
Personally, I would drop 1 1/2 grains and use Federal 215 Large Magnum Rifle or Winchester Large Magnum with this powder.
***Don't use CCI 200 with Win760, experienced hang fires due to week primers.
Del I would try Reloader 15 as well max load is 53 grains drop it down to 50 and woork up. Why would F&S delete this post?
Hey, they deleted the post about my turkey call Beekeeper made go figure. You can see it by clicking my name and going to photos.

Did you get any reasoning behind the removal of your posting? I don't get it.
Del, I suspect they may have done that because your picture of that beautiful call depicted your name and address clearly. I can't think of any other reason. These should be great bullets for you although I havn't shot that particular one.
Dakota
Excellent eye. I think that you've solved this mystery.
Did a fine job making it, I'm impressed!
Del, see if you can come across some Lake City Match all the same year group in 30-06. They make absolutely perfect 338-06!
Hey Del, your back yard would make a good 30 yard archery range, S/E corner to N/W corner. LOL!
Del,
Don't use data for Nosler Partitions, Hornady, or other soft jacketed bullets with Barnes Triple Shocks or TTSX. Start with the loads in the Barnes manual #4 and use LR primers.

Actually I do shoot my bow in the back yard.

I think you just got Google-earthed...
Del, I'd appreciate your sharing your reloads for the .338-06. Bee has my email address. Gunsmith assures me I'll have mine this fall.
OK double nought!
